drawings

I’ve been working on a series of drawings I call Rock Portraits. Each rock, its pattern, texture and shape has a story of past landscapes. It is a glimpse of melted continent and ocean floor, ancient lakes, rivers and volcanoes. Patterns of interlocking crystal mosaics, cross-cutting veins, conglomerates, and ductile deformation to name a few. To view Earth so intimately and to know her stories is my way to pay homage.
